Isola delle Correnti - Pachino

The Island of the Currents, is located 8 Km from Pachino. It’s in the extreme south of Sicily, very exposed to the wind, where you meet the Mediterranean Sea and the Ionian Sea.

The area takes its name from the islet that stands in front, once connected to the mainland by a strip of land. To the east and west of the promontory stretching beaches, protected by dunes and reachable from Pachino and Portopalo: on the east side the Guardian, on the west side the Ponterio, Carratois and, after passing the tip of the Ants, the beautiful Costa dell 'amber, that encloses three sandy coves, behind which there are two coastal marshes  Longarini and Cuba.
