Beaches in Palermo

To the west of the Tyrrhenian coast, are the coasts of the province of Palermo, beaches alternate with stretches of breathtaking cliffs.
The small fraction dell'Addaura , located along the northern slope of Mount Pellegrino, over Punta Priola, is known for its natural caves, including the Cave dell'Addaura inside which are suggestive of engravings that make up one of the most significant examples of paleo-Mesolithic rock art. Continuing on, you go to the beach of Arenella/Virgin Mary, which has a characteristic trap. The famous beach of Mondello, is located between Monte Gallo and Monte Pellegrino, and is a mile long and a half. Every year, this beach becomes the Theatre of the World Festival on the Beach, an international event dedicated to the sport, particularly in Windsurfing.
Another magnificent stretch of sea is Capo Gallo, in which there are only rocks and extraordinary natural caves such as cave Oil, or the Queen's Cave and Cave Caprari. If you want to go diving, it’s recommended Secca di Barraoff the waters of Capo Gallo. Continuing the route of the Sea of Palermo, you arrive at Sferracavallo, a small fishing village, in the north of his Gulf, home to Coral Bay. This is followed by the beaches of Capaci; Magaggiari; Punta Raisi; Cala Rossa Terrasini; Cape Rama, a white cliff dominated by a sixteenth-century watchtower; San Cataldo, from where you can visit the Cave of Palombi.

On the south you can see the beaches of Crucicchia, in the municipality of Ficarazzi; Santa Flavia, from where you can reach the Shoal of Ants, and admire the many coves that lie in between the rocks in Olivella. The private beach of Capo Zafferano overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Palermo. And yet Casteldaccia; Trabia; Termini Imerese; Collesano, which is one of the longest of the entire coast of Palermo with six kilometers. Finally, Lascari; Cefalu, a real tourist destination; Pollina, last Municipality of Palermo in direction Messina, which is home to the beautiful beaches of Rais Gerbj and Turquoise Bay.
