Description
Villa Maura is one of the most captivating luxury holiday homes on the Sicilian coast, perfect for families and small groups who love seaside vacations. Thanks to its exclusive seafront location, you will enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea.
Comfortable seaside home for family holidays
Set directly above the rocky coastline, the villa is accessed through a private gate. The parking area is conveniently located next to the house, whose main entrance sits beneath a sea-facing veranda with a dining table.
A space to be enjoyed at any time of day, from slow breakfasts filled with the scent of the sea breeze to al fresco dinners accompanied by the sound of the waves. Here, time naturally slows down.
Indoors and outdoors blend seamlessly thanks to a large glass door leading into a warm, fully equipped kitchen. A corridor leads to the sleeping area, all arranged on one single level, designed for comfort and privacy: one double bedroom and one twin bedroom sharing a bathroom, plus a second double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. A practical laundry room completes the house.
Sunset over the sea or pool until late? Both.
The highlight of the villa is its heated rooftop panoramic pool, an exclusive spot with an unparalleled sea view. Located on the upper level and accessed via an external staircase, the pool area is designed for ultimate relaxation:

From Sicilian beaches to the baroque towns of the Val di Noto
From Villa Maura holiday villa, you can easily walk to the Fornace Penna, an iconic industrial archaeology landmark and famous filming location known as “La Mannara” from Inspector Montalbano. It is one of the most atmospheric spots in the area: at sunset, golden light bathes the building and cliffs, creating a perfect setting for photography and romantic moments.
From there, the vast beaches of Punta Pisciotto stretch along the coast, and further on lies Sampieri, a charming fishing village with excellent seafood restaurants.

Cancellation Policy
For cancellations up to 61 days before the arrival date, no charge.
For cancellations up to 30 days before the arrival date, 50% will be charged.
For cancellations less than 30 days before the arrival date, 100% will be charged.

Reviews
The villa’s rooftop plunge pool is rather special, and the rooftop terrace perfect for sunbathing with a good area of shade. We spent a lot of time up there !
The villa is described well, and we felt it was larger than the pictures indicated.
The standout feature is the location. Very quiet with direct access to the sea, which makes it very special. All you need is a little balance to get to the sandy part about 10m to 20m out. This was heaven.
Also a short 15 minute walk or 8 minute cycle into the very attractive Marina di Modica, with great cafes, restaurants and beach bars.
Our favourites were “Sud” for practical food value for a family of 5 and “Solmare Corallo” for an incredible “treat” and quality fish meal.
And Stuzzicadenti Food Corner for great eat in or takeaways.
Plus the vibe at the beach bar, “Bar Tortuga” , was chilled and a great spot for the sunset !
A car gets you the short hops to Scicli, Modica and Noto which are great day trips. With plenty of other places still to explore next time!

Another shout out to Raffaelle, as we discovered Sicily Bike Tours from who we rented a combination of 5 EBikes and Bikes for the week and also did a brilliant guided tour with Claudio, a lovely person and very knowledgeable having grown up and living in Noto. They also delivered and picked up the bikes directly to and from the villa

Siamo stati a luglio 2026 a Villa Maura a Marina di Modica e le foto corrispondevano esattamente alla realtà. La villa fronte mare è davvero stupenda e completa di tutti i comfort. Davanti ci sono gli scogli con facile accesso ad un mare cristallino. Dista solo 10-15 minuti a piedi dal centro del paese. All'interno della proprietà c'è posto per le auto. Un apprezzamento speciale per l'organizzazione, l'assistenza, l'efficienza e la cordialità di ISULATRAVEL. Un ringraziamento in particolare a Francesca che è stata veramente straordinaria!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house with a pool and a breathtaking view of the sea. There are lovely beaches within walking distance. Francesca was a very flexible, reliable and helpful host who always responded promptly. She kindly allowed us to check in earlier and check out later than the scheduled times. The only downside was that there were construction works in the neighbouring house throughout the week, which was quite noisy at times. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place!
