Description
Villa Petra is an amazing property with heated pool located in a unique position, close to the historic center of the city of Modica.
The property is spread over several levels.
The ground floor consists of a single room that houses a double bed, a sofa and a kitchenette. There are also a laundry room, a bathroom with shower and an elevator that allows you to easily reach the first floor. On request it is possible to add an extra bed. The environment is clean and minimalist but made special by the ceiling with the exposed rock.
The upper floor, which houses the main house, can be reached via stone stairs that lead directly to the outdoor area, the fulcrum of the villa, with kitchen, pergola, dining area and a small pool (3x2), almost set in the rock which, if necessary, can be heated.
Here too, the interior is modern and minimalist, with custom-made furniture and light points that highlight and perfectly illuminate all the rooms.
The living area consists of a kitchen-living room with sofa bed and a bathroom with shower carved into the stone.
The living room opens onto a splendid terrace from which it is possible to admire a wonderful glimpse of Modica Alta and the Cathedral of San Giorgio.
The stairs, behind the kitchen, lead to the master bedroom with walk-in closet and large windows overlooking the living room.
Villa Petra is a unique gem of its kind.
Its position allows you to move easily on foot to discover the historic center of Modica or to reach bars and restaurants. At the same time the privacy of the guests is totally guaranteed by the thick vegetation, to which an almost maniacal care is dedicated, which surrounds and overlooks the villa itself.
The villa is the perfect retreat for those looking for an intimate and romantic place without, however, giving up the comforts of city life.

Cancellation Policy
For cancellations up to 61 days before the arrival date, no charge.
For cancellations up to 30 days before the arrival date, 50% will be charged.
For cancellations less than 30 days before the arrival date, 100% will be charged.

This is a wonderful property in an excellent location, with real charm and character.
The place was very cool the way it’s built into the rock. Good location if you have a car, easy to park in the street. Be mindful Modica is very hilly so you’ll need your walking shoes if you want to explore the old town as this place is at the base where lots of restaurants are located.
Costoso per la qualità effettiva della casa. La casa teoricamente perfetta aveva luci rotte, prese penzolanti, luce che saltava, piscina piena di guano, ed era palesemente ancora in fase di migliorie. Sinceramente potete e dovete adeguare i prezzi ai disservizi. Comunque io sto iniziando a segnalare tutto questo all agcom perché credo sia gusto che a promesse corrrispondono garanzie al consumatore. Che non ci sono state

La piscina all’aperto può talvolta sporcarsi con il fogliame circostante, ma in casa mettiamo sempre a disposizione tutto l’occorrente per pulirla facilmente.
Per quanto riguarda la luce, il problema è stato causato da un momentaneo abbassamento di energia - il nostro tecnico era già pronto a intervenire nel caso in cui non si fosse risolto rapidamente.
Apprezziamo molto i commenti dei nostri ospiti e continuiamo a lavorare per migliorare sempre di più l’esperienza di soggiorno. Grazie ancora per aver scelto la nostra casa.
Alessia from IsulaTravel was a wonderful host. She welcomed us and responded to our questions super quickly. The house is beautifully decorated with a great eye for design. And the plunge pool with outdoor shower is ideal for cooling off. Unfortunately, roadwork was being done in front of the house just while we were there, which caused some noise disturbance. There is nothing you can do about that. It is perfect that you can walk straight from the house to Modica center for coffee, the bakery, and restaurants.
